The man who was shot and killed by a police detective at the Bakersfield Amtrak station was 45-year-old Jamie Long of Ventura.

Long was reportedly threatening bus drivers with a knife Monday morning, and cell phone video of the incident shows him walking directly towards Officer John Bildt and getting within a few feet of him before Bildt fired. The shooting is being investigated.
