Two young Bakersfield men are facing vehicle theft and gang charges after a chase that began on Virginia Avenue and Washington Street.

Police tried to pull them over around 6:40p.m. Thursday night but say 20 year-old Jose Gonzales led them to Edison Hwy and Mt. Vernon Avenue then jumped out of the car and ran. 19 year-old passenger Vincent Balderama was captured earlier after also springing out.
