A corrections officer accused of sexually assaulting a female inmate at the Kern County Juvenile Facility has been acquitted of all charges.

Cesar Navejar faced three felonies for an incident prosecutors say happened in girl’s cell in September 2014, but the defense argued the 17-year-old had a history of lying. The jury deliberated for about four hours before handing down verdict.
