A Bakersfield pediatrician who left her two-year-old boy and baby girl in her van while she saw patients will be arraigned Thursday morning for child cruelty. Dr. Christie Chu Yee is being charged with two misdemeanors because she was checking on the kids and had no criminal history.

The father’s house was found to be unfit. The children are in protective custody.
