Cal State Bakersfield had their March Madness dreams dashed Friday afternoon when they fell to number two seed Oklahoma 82-68.

The Runners jumped out to an 8-0 lead early in the first half but were unable to answer a series of late second half three pointers by the Sooners. Senior center Aly Ahmed kept scoring pace with Oklahoma star Buddy Hield but came up empty in the second.

Fans who watched the game at Firestone Grill in Bakersfield told KUZZ News they are proud of their players and think the team’s performance will be a good recruiting tool.
