The family of a Delano woman who was stabbed to death by her 35 year-old daughter says Maria Mejorado had suffered for years with mental illness, and they’d tried in vain to find help for her. The victim’s name has not been released by the coroner’s office. Deputies say the attack happened Wednesday afternoon at her home on Casey Avenue.
