Local banker and philanthropist Ray Dezember has been remembered by family and friends at a memorial in southwest Bakersfield.

Monday’s service at St. John’s Lutheran Church was also attended by the president of Cal State Bakersfield, where he helped build two facilities, along with former Supervisor Ray Watson, and community leaders and members of the many charities he supported. Dezember passed March 14th at 85.
