Members of the Shafter community are mourning the death of a young man who was killed by a suspected drunk driver in south Bakersfield.

Firefighters responded to the crash on Panama Lane around noon on Saturday near the Walmart center. Nineteen-year-old Jade Marley Flores was a passenger in a car that was hit.

News reports say an arrest has been made, but police have not released a statement.
