Trustees for the Bakersfield City School District have given final approval to the contract for their new superintendent.

Harry “Doc” Ervin comes from the Greenfield Union School District in Monterey. Ervin began his career as a teacher and also directed a partnership program for LA schools that measured strong student gains.

His start date is July 1st.
