Several Bakersfield firefighters are in New York City to pick up a huge steel beam from the fallen World Trade Center. Bakersfield was one of the few cities in the U.S. selected to receive the nearly seven-ton girder, which will be installed in a public memorial at Fire Station 15 on Buena Vista Road in time for the upcoming 15th anniversary of the September 11th terror attacks.
