BAKO MAN SENTENCED IN MURDER FOR HIRE PLEA DEAL

The Bakersfield man with charged hiring a teenager to kill his adopted son has been sentenced to more than six years in prison.

Prosecutors say George Dean had teenager Gabriel Rodriguez shoot his son in retaliation for Jonathan Dean having a relationship with a disabled minor.

Defense attorney Mark Raimondo says despite Dean’s plea of no contest to voluntary manslaughter, his client is innocent and only made a deal with prosecutors because of his poor health. Dean also pleaded no contest to committing a sex act with a minor.

The trial of accused shooter Gabriel Rodriguez is expected to start June 20th.
