A McFarland gang member has been convicted of assault with a firearm and other charges for pointing a semi-automatic weapon at a person who was pulling into their own driveway. Joel Vargas put the gun near the victim’s head and demanded information before running away.

Vargas faces life in prison without parole at his sentencing May 3rd because it’s his third strike.
