People have been flocking to the Kern County Museum to pay tribute to Bakersfield Sound legend Merle Haggard who died this week on his 79th birthday.

The railroad boxcar home where he lived as a boy was moved there in July, and the museum is waving entry fees through Saturday for those who want to pay their respects.

Flowers, balloons and donations are welcome.
