The Bakersfield Jam have announced they are moving to northern Arizona after their owners agreed to sell them to the Phoenix Suns.

The move ends a ten-year run for the team in the city, but owner Stan Ellis said at a news conference Tuesday the NBA has been trying to move their development leagues in-house for a long time.

Ellis added a deal is in place to bring a new D-League team to Bakersfield next season. That squad would also be called the Bakersfield Jam and have the same logo.
