Golden Empire Transit unveiled their new, wheelchair-friendly bus stops on Monday. 43 stops have been upgraded to allow better access thanks to funding arranged by the Kern Council of Governments. It’s taken a year to complete the upgrades which also includes painting curbs for no parking in front of about 800 bus stops.
