IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS SEEK PUBLIC INPUT

A public meeting is set for Tuesday afternoon covering a wide variety of infrastructure projects around Bakersfield funded by the federal government. The 5-year Action Plan includes a variety of projects ranging from street gutter improvements to park playground shading to affordable housing. People are invited to give their perspective on these projects and Bakersfield Community Development Coordinator Ryan Bland says those who provide services to the community can come and learn how to put in for some of the funding. The meeting is set for 4 PM Tuesday on the second floor of the Community Development building at 17th and Chester Ave., downtown.
