Public Health Services has temporarily shut down the Oildale Tobacco and Discount Store and cited a worker after he was caught selling synthetic marijuana known as spice, which is banned in Kern County. Deputies found spice at the shop on Roberts Lane just west of Chester Avenue on Monday, causing the store be suspended from all sales for a month.

Spice can cause hallucinations and even death.
