A gang member has been sentenced to 37 years to life in prison for stabbing a man to death. Prosecutors say it happened near a central Bakersfield store as 22-year-old Anthony Padilla put his knife through the heart of Oscar Simentel during an argument outside the Pla-Fair Market on Union Avenue in 2014. Padilla was charged with second-degree murder.
