An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death for a three-week-old baby who stopped breathing at the Downtowner Inn on Chester Avenue in Bakersfield.

Police and medical personnel performed CPR Sunday morning but it was too late. There are no reports of trauma to the infant. The case is being investigated.
