BAKERSFIELD MAN SENTENCED IN DUI CRASH

A Bakersfield man will serve up to a year in Lerdo jail and five years probation for a DUI crash that killed a bicyclist.

Randall Sullivan fled the scene after he hit Victor Quinoz on New Stine Road and Ming Avenue in December 2014. Deputy District Attorney Garrett Rice wanted a longer sentence but felt this was the best they could get after Sullivan pleaded guilty to gross vehicular manslaughter.

Sullivan will also be part of a substance abuse program at Lerdo and must be available for random alcohol testing.
