A public memorial is being scheduled for Tuesday, May 10th to remember legendary Country singer Merle Haggard. Jim Haggard, speaking for the family, said the memorial will be at 10:30 AM at Valley Baptist Church on Fruitvale Avenue in Bakersfield in order for the community to honor the local icon who died April 6th at age 79.
