STUDENTS LOOK FOR JOB SKILL TRAINING

The Kern County Superintendent of Schools hosted a showcase for the various programs students can join to get educational opportunities beyond the classroom.

Ann Georgian runs the School-Community Partnership program, and says many of the offerings that were on display Wednesday night were for students who need job skills or a little self-discipline.

The Superintendent’s office hosts the overview sessions at their office on K Street downtown twice a year and encourages parents and students to find out what’s available.
