TEHACHAPI BULLY MEETING UPSETS PARENTS

A quickly convened meeting between Tehachapi Schools administrators and parents revealed deep seated frustrations with the problem of bullying, six years after a 13-year-old boy committed suicide for being gay.

Parents were visibly angry at the lack of notice for the public meeting, and some complained to KGET-TV that they don’t know there’s a form they can use to complain about bullying.

Parents also complained they had only 20 hours notice of the meeting ordered by the Justice Department, as a follow up to required changes to address bullying.
