Two people are dead in a late night homicide in a quiet northwest neighborhood. Bakersfield police say the dead were found in a home in the 5000 block of Lily Pad Court and a man was taken in for questioning as he was seen leaving the residence. Officers responded to a call of a disturbance at 1:20 AM Saturday . Neighbors who knew the victims – who have not been officially identified – say they’ve been friends for 20 years and that an adult son had just moved back in with his parents. Again, police have not officially named anyone involved in this case.The neighbors looking at the police tape on their street said nothing like this had happened in their peaceful neighborhood ever.
