Bakersfield Memorial Hospital has renamed its newly renovated interfaith chapel in honor of a popular local priest. Monsignor Craig F. Harrison was on hand Monday] to dedicate the church which bears his name, and he thinks the upgrades will make people of all religions feel welcome. The Chapel has new lighting and moveable pews. The Monsignor especially like the new stained glass saying it features sunflowers, a favorite of his younger sister who died 8 years ago.
The chapel has a wall of prayer cards from Sikh, Jewish, and Native American traditions. It was funded by the medical center and through private donations.
