One utility company broke the gas line of another. The Tuesday morning accident had Hageman Road at Mohawk Street closed from 10 AM until 12 Noon as Kern County Fire worked with the gas company to secure the line. A home across the street from the open field where the break occurred was told to shelter in place. Fire Captain Tyler Townsend said a crew digging for one utility ruptured a 2-inch natural gas line.
