PG & E is installing new electric lines and equipment along Calloway Drive from Hageman Road to Norris Road. The utility says the new lines will double capacity and provide more reliable power as northwest Bakersfield continues to grow. Work is being done this week that will require lane closures on Calloway Drive and Norris Road. The company also announced they’ll be going door-to-door checking for corrosion on meters. The utility says their employees have I.D. badges they are required to show.
