A police pursuit that began as a burglary in central Bakersfield quickly ended with a crash on California Avenue near Mohawk Street.

Officers witnessed the two suspects as they got into a car and drove off around 2:00 Tuesday afternoon and gave chase until the car crashed into a tree. One of the men was arrested there while the other was captured in a nearby bank.
