The last single in the legendary career of Merle Haggard is being released. “Kern River Blues” will be available Thursday on iTunes according to his official website and ten percent of proceeds will benefit homeless charities. Haggard wrote the song while hospitalized for pneumonia just before his death on April 6th. The lyrics to the song were recited at his public memorial in Bakersfield this week.
