Two shootings within an hour has Arvin police looking for a connection. Shootings separated by less than an hour Thursday night have police in Arvin looking for a killer. After a shooting around 10:30 on 4th Street wounded one man, police were called to another shots-fired scene on Monroe Avenue where they found a man shot to death. That second victim has been identified as 34-year-old Alfredo Torres. The first victim was not named by police. Investigators are unsure if the shootings are related and have no suspects.
