The Kern County Bar Association joined the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in hosting a forum for candidates running for superior court judge. Defense attorney Arturo Revelo and Deputy D.A. Tiffany Organ-Bowles joined incumbent Judge Cory Woodward in Wednesday’s forum at the Beale Library in Bakersfield.

The forum ended on a contentious note when challenger Revelo said Judge Cory Woodward should not be re-elected because of his highly-publicized affair with a court clerk. Woodward openly addressed the affair and apologized but Revelo took exception, saying it’s an embarrassment.
