Kern County Supervisors voted to keep a $1 million settlement in place even though they claim attorneys violated terms of the agreement. Tuesday’s vote follows public comments two weeks ago by the law firm of Chain, Cohn and Stiles about a woman assaulted by a Kern County Deputy. Supervisors agreed it was still prudent to settle instead of going to trial.
