Bakersfield police need help tracking down the man who tried unsuccessfully to rob a couple of AM/PM mini marts on Ming Avenue. Both attempts happened within a couple hours on April 26th. The man held a blue skateboard with yellow wheels in one hand and a knife in the other but was refused cash by the clerks. Anyone with information on who this hard luck robber might be should call BPD Detective Jeff Watts at 326-3514. You would likely be doing this guy a favor.
