The trial of a Lamont teacher accused of possessing child pornography has been declared a mistrial. 34-year-old Margarito Madueno came close to acquittal as the jury voted 9 to 3 in favor of a not guilty verdict. Defense attorneys and prosecutors return to court Thursday to work on a retrial date if the District Attorney’s office believes they should try again.
