HOTSHOTS BURGLARIZED

A fire station at Lake Isabella has been burglarized. Kern County Fire Station 72 was broken into Monday night with undisclosed items being stolen. The crime has County Fire looking to implement new security measures to prevent further incidents. The fire house is quarters for the Rio Bravo Hotshots and Captain Tyler Townsend said they are seasonal employees who don’t make a lot of money and the theft can be difficult for them. He was disappointed that first responders would be targeted. The Sheriff’s office is investigating.
