The annual Thousand Flags display for Memorial Day weekend is about to open. The display is at Riverwalk Park in southwest Bakersfield. This is the third year of the display that honors current and former members of the military, as well as first responders. Set up begins Saturday morning at 7:00 and volunteers are always welcome. The opening ceremony is at Noon.
