GUILTY, THEN HUNG, THEN PLEA

There is finally closure for a case of a man who killed a woman, then burned her body. A man who has been put on trial twice for stabbing a woman and burning her body in an Edison fire pit has pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter. A 2014 conviction of first-degree murder for Alejandro Leon was thrown out because of prosecutor misconduct while the jury deadlocked in the second trial. His sentencing is July 6.
