Kern County and Bakersfield fire departments have sent crews to the Chimney Fire. Kern County sent  incident managers and BFD provided unit leaders to the Chimney Fire northeast of Kernville in Tulare County. The latest as of Thursday afternoon is the fire has burned over 1,000 acres and is only ten percent contained with 300 firefighters working the incident. There have been no injuries or structures threatened.
