A 19-year-old Bakersfield man led police on a lengthy foot chase. The chase started in front of the Toys R Us store on Ming Avenue before police caught the man and arrested him on weapons and gang charges. Police say Justin Escandon had a loaded .357 pistol in his waistband when he was finally caught just after 4:00 Wednesday afternoon. During the pursuit, police says Escandon kept reaching for his waistband, but officers did not fire.
