STREETS OF BAKERSFIELD SCORE 69

The streets of Bakersfield has been given a report card and the number is pretty good. A roads consultant hired by Public Works rates local streets at 69 out of 100 putting the city in the top one-third of large California cities. Residential streets are particularly good shape according to Nichols Consulting Engineers who are helping the city determine how to spend a $19 million roads budget. The company traveled all 1,200 miles of pavement to examine all of it for their report.
