Bakersfield arson investigators are looking into the cause of fires at two vacant houses within a block of each other. Both burned at about the same time Tuesday afternoon. One was a multi-family building on Clyde Street and the other was a house on Clifton Street near MLK Boulevard.

Both buildings had extensive damage.
