An 18-month old boy who fell into a hole has been rescued. The hold was in Meadowbrook Park in Tehachapi and the child fell in Thursday morning when he scampered a short way from his mother past warning tape. Kern County Fire used a rope to lasso the crying child from the bottom of the 7-feet-deep hole. The unidentified child was not hurt by either the fall or the rescue. A power pole had been removed leaving the hole in the park.
