RETURN OF SPRAY IS AN INSTANT HIT

The return of the Bakersfield spray parks are an instant hit. Seven of Bakersfield’s Recreation and Parks Department spray parks returned to action Friday at 1:00 PM for the first time in almost two years. A mom at Jastro Park said she and her kids were the first people there for the return of the parks and her apartment complex doesn’t have a pool. A woman who brought her great-grandson to Saunders Park said the spray parks were shut down about the time he was born and little Adam really enjoyed it. Another mother said it water restrictions prevented kids from being able to spray every day at home because they could only use outside water on alternating days. KUZZ News spoke with all these parents and more within the first hour of reopening. The parks will run from 1:00 to 5:00 PM every day.
