An indoor go-kart track in north Bakersfield has been given the green light. A conditional use permit was approved by the city’s zoning adjustment board. Tuesday’s permit means a building on Gilmore Avenue just east of Buck Owens Boulevard can have two banked, dirt tracks installed which allows the go-karts to slide through the corners. The owners expect to open in November.
