An Oildale man was arrested for having a sawed-off shotgun.The man with a gun was found as officers arrived to investigate a stolen car in a driveway on El Tejon Avenue near Airport Drive. 34-year-old Efrain Cortez was seen crouching behind the car as auto theft task force officers arrived midday Wednesday. The suspect faces auto theft, weapons and gang charges.
