The pastor of Saint Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Bakersfield has been administered Last Rites. The act was conducted as the Monsignor remains in critical condition at Memorial Hospital following a heart attack during mass last Sunday. The church said Friday afternoon that Monsignor Raul Sanchez’s condition has worsened and he has suffered from a form of blood cancer for some time.
