A skateboarder who was hit by a car in Oildale and had been on life support has died. 22-year-old Angel Rene Rodriguez was injured late Monday night last week on Roberts Lane near McArthur Place and died Saturday at Kern Medical Center. The CHP said he was not in a crosswalk and the driver stopped and called authorities, so no charges are expected.
