The Valley Air District is calling on the federal EPA to crack down on emissions from heavy duty trucks and train locomotives. District leaders sent a letter Wednesday to EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy saying tighter federal emission rules are needed so places like the San Joaquin Valley can meet air requirements because trucks and trains from elsewhere pollute here.
