Sheriff’s deputies had to shoot one of two vicious dogs when their owner ordered them to attack the officers as he fought being arrested.

The incident Wednesday afternoon on McCray Street in Oildale came during welfare check on 22-year-old Taylor Anderson. Both she and 31-year-old Eddie Douglas had warrants.

Both dogs are in the custody of County Animal Services.
