MAGGARD ADDRESSES BUDGET FUNDING

Supervisor Mike Maggard took time out from the Pioneer Spray Park grand opening to talk about the upcoming budget cuts.

Maggard says he is happy the county found an outside source to fund the new spray park, but he does not think county departments will be able to use state grants for funding once the budget cuts kick in. However, the county is looking at every angle to find savings.

Maggard thinks library branches may be closed and workers moved from rented offices into vacant county buildings if the 5% across-the-board cuts are approved in August.
